Position Title: District Receptionist
Reports to: Director of Educational Support Services
FLSA Designation: Non-exempt
Calendar: 10 month
SUMMARY: Serves as the receptionist at our main district office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
- Answers phone, responds to routine questions, schedules appointments and routes calls to appropriate persons
- Serves as confidential assistant to district-level administrators
- Prepares routine correspondence such as letter and memos, reports, forms, etc.
- Opens mail and distributes accordingly
- Works closely with the faculty and must have a good working relationship with faculty, staff and students
- Works with various software applications, entering and retrieving data as needed
- Accessible to students and parents for education-related purposes
- Works well with both supervisors and other members of the team
- Maintains consistent and punctual attendance
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or administrator

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: HS diploma or GED and at least one (1) year general office work and/or training preferred; basic computer skills to include a working knowledge of word processing and databases preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate office machines and personal computer and related software. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
